This game, manufactured by Bally in 1982 is not technically a pinball. Similar to Williams Hyperball, Rapid fire is a hybrid pinball machine and arcade game combined.
Bally made a limited number of these machines which means that they are extremely rare to find in the UK.
The player uses two joysticks to control a laser cannon that fires balls around the playfield and destroy the invading army. You can block oncoming attacks with a forcefield that is also controlled using the joysticks. If you can spell out the word “FRENZY” by hitting the correct targets you will be rewarded with ha huge number of points. There is also a “Panic Button” on the control panel that destroy all the enemy soldiers.
Each time you complete a wave you move onto a more difficult level which means you are attacked faster and move aggressively.
Reconditioning Process:
This machine was originally used in commercial environments such as arcades, public houses, and amusements.
When you place your order with us, we will take the machine out of storage and bring it into our workshop, where technicians will fully clean and test all the components to ensure they are in working order as well as making any repairs that may be necessary.
Because of the age of these machines and that fact that they were originally used in commercial environments, it is possible that there may be signs of cosmetic wear and tear. However, we feel that these slight imperfections only add to the patina of this classic machine and helps to tell a story of its past life.
